With all celebrities joining the green movement in the face of global warming and not to miss skyrocketing prices of gas, the latest to join the bandwagon in our teenage heart throb Miley Cyrus.

Miley has decided to buy a hybrid car when she finally reaches the right age. Hybrid car runs on both electricity and gas thus has greater fuel efficiency and low emission. It’s good for sound pollution too. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, a country singer was the one who was responsible for her new environmental concerns.

The Hannah Montana series made Miley a huge celebrity almost instantly. She is a teen icon that is looked upon and followed by thousands of teenagers all over the world. It’s nice to see a celebrity using her status for a great cause rather than indulging in drunk driving and drugs. Well, to be honest Miley has been in news recently for not so good reasons as well. Remember when she posed provocatively for The Vanity Fair wrapped up in a blanket, or posted her own sexy pictures kissing other girls or crawling over a number of boys. There were a few where she was showing her lingerie off.

I remember reading somewhere that post her naughty picture stunt she has been receiving a lot of fan mail from …catch your breath… prisoners. A lot of them fell in love with her and put her pictures on the walls of their cells. Now I am sure this was not her intention to be a pinup girl for the jails. I am sure she is keen to return to her clean image.
